Leslie Schroerlucke has studied with many prominent clarinetists including Stanley Hasty, Mitchell Lurie, James Campbell, Frank Kowalsky, and Peter Hadcock. After earning her Bachelor's degree in Clarinet at the Eastman School of Music, she won a position with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Florida under the direction of English conductor James Judd. While in Florida she also performed with the Miami Opera, and was Principal Clarinet of the Symphonia of the Americas. Leslie has performed with the Spoleto Opera Festival and as a soloist, clinician, and chamber musician throughout Europe and in Brazil. She has also premiered several works at Miami's New Music Festival. While in Florida, Leslie served on the faculty of Florida International University and Broward Community Colllege. She is currently the clarinet instructor at UC Riverside, a member of the Orange County Wind Symphony, and Director of Bands at Chaparral Middle School in Diamond Bar, CA. In addition, she is a member of the Carodonna trio and freelances with L.A. area orchestras.
